Bikes and ministry mix in Oklahoma
In 2008, Rusty Bellomy, a biker, a member of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Board of Trustees, and the Work & Witness coordinator for the Eastern Kentucky District, was tragically killed when a drunk driver slammed head-on into Bellomy's bike. To honor this Nazarene layman, the Nazarene Motorcycle Fellowship steering committee created the Rusty Bellomy Bikes for Missions Project to honor Bellomy's memory and his commitment to winning the lost. This project provides funds for purchasing motorcycles for pastors on mission fields where such a vehicle will increase their ability to spread the gospel. read more
