First-time visitor to Nazarene church has deep historical ties to denomination
On a Sunday morning, Kim Petriga and her seven-year-old daughter, Brianna, walked into the Cornerstone Family Church and were greeted by Pastor Paul Thornhill. He asked Kim how she learned about the NewStart church. She mentioned the cards and the signs and then said to the pastor, "My great grandmother was a leader in the Church of the Nazarene at the church's beginning days." Thornhill asked who that individual would be. Petriga responded that her great-grandmother was Susan Fitkin. (Slideshow) read more
