Caleb Project ventures into second year
"It has been a year of learning, teaching, fights, and — what is more important — victories," said Jean Carlo, who is one of nine young church planters from Central and South America who have been volunteering as church planters across the Western Mediterranean Field since October 2007. A year into the project, there are teams in four cities, based near existing ministries in Spain and Italy.

George Sisler has been appointed as the Work and Witness Coordinator for the U.S. and Canada. In a unique two-year contractual partnership between World Mission and USA/Canada Mission/Evangelism, Sisler will be responsible for coordinating and mobilizing teams of volunteers to serve churches and compassionate ministry centers in the U.S. and Canada.

Nazarene Centennial Celebration at Nazarene Bible College
In October, Nazarenes from all over the world will gather to celebrate the Centennial of the Church of the Nazarene. Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs will highlight this important milestone during the week of October 6. Their keynote speaker will be Paul M. Bassett, professor emeritus of the History of Christianity at Nazarene Theological Seminary.

MVNU sees large freshman class and high retention for fall 2008
With the largest freshman class in three years, Mount Vernon Nazarene University's total enrollment for 2008 hit 2,558. This is 700 more students than were enrolled 10 years ago.
