The season of Lent in the Christian year is a time not only to remember the passion of our Lord, it is also a time to evaluate our discipleship. One of the best Bible texts to aid us is Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. Matthew chapter 5 focuses on the inner life of a true disciple. Chapter 6 helps us to consider the marks of a true disciple.
