As you open this issue of Preacher’s Magazine you are on the threshold of another season of Advent and Christmas. What a wonderful time of year for the Church and those privileged to be preaching!

I am pleased to commend the resources provided to you through this issue of Preacher’s Magazine and the supporting website www.preachersmagazine.org. The sermons and resources for Advent and Christmas are provided by Rev. Olivia Metcalf who co-pastors with her husband Dustin in Atwater, California. Rev. Mark Holcomb and Dr. Philip Rogers provide the sermons and resources for the season after Epiphany. Rev. Holcomb serves as Assistant Professor of Christian Education at Olivet Nazarene University. Dr. Rogers serves as senior pastor in Middletown, Indiana. Dr. Judi Schwanz offers helpful insights for navigating the demands of the season. Rev. Rob Prince provides a fun and helpful reflection that made me both laugh out loud and pause!
