| Get a Lifestyle: Becoming a Global Christian is an intentional effort to help your students understand that missions is a Christian duty, whether overseas or next door, and therefore, missions needs to envelop our attitudes toward those around us. Lesson 1: Are Your Feet Beautiful?--Helps teens begin to view themselves as the God-intended answers to the needs of the world. Lesson 2: What Do You Know About Need?--Educates students about the worldwide distribution of physical resources. Lesson 3: Living in God's Economy--Provides teens with a comparison between their spending and giving habits and the principles of "God's economy". Lesson 4: When Cultures Clash --Helps students understand how loving actions can bridge the gaps between conflicting cultures and beliefs. Lesson 5: Putting Your Faith into Action!--Mobilizes students to put their faith into action with acts of missions-style living. Group Project: The Talents Program--A short-term, local mission's project that allows students to put their faith into action to meet the needs of others. Lesson A: What is a Call to Missions?--Explains what it means to be called andencourages students to be open to the call that God may be placing on their lives. Lesson B: Serving as Senders--Explores the students' role of sender/supporter and encourages students to consider practical ways to be involved in local missions. Lesson C: My Place in This World--Missions is a lifestyle to be embraced, no matter what careers are chosen. Lesson D: A Living Witness--Emphasizes the importance of sharing our faith, and provides suggestions for practical evangelistic methods. Lesson E: Lifestyles of the Poor and Destitute--Encourages action from students in response to those living in poverty. Lesson F: Loving Near, Loving Far--Helps students identify with and reach out to the "least of these" around them. |
