Product Summary

The Apostle's Creed is a familiar part of many church services--so familiar, in fact, that many of us may not stop to think about its true significance. But this ancient proclamation frames the practice of our faith within the church and to the world.

The Apostles' Creed: A Guide to the Ancient Statement of Faith examines the three sections of the Creed, which correspond to the three persons of the Trinity--God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This book also shows how knowing what Christians have believed, confessed, and taught since ancient times is significant for what it means to live out our faith today.

H. Ray Dunning is a theologian and retired professor of theology at Trevecca Nazarene University. Dr. Dunning has authored, edited, and contributed to a number of books on Christian faith and practice, including Grace, Faith and Holiness; The Second Coming; A Laymen's Guide to Sanctification; and Biblical Resources for Holiness Preaching (Volumes 1 and 2).
