Product Summary

This unit is designed to help students look at the dynamics of life in four different areas: personally, relationally between men and women, socially and communally in the Body of Christ.

Lesson 1: The Nature of Human Nature--Who Am I? For many of your young adults it is easy to say with the psalmist, What is man that you are mindful of him ? (8:4). Many young adults are looking for identity. Through passages in Genesis 1 and 2 and other scriptures, you can help them catch a glimpse of the nature of God and humans and their relationship to each other. (Genesis 1:1-3:24; Romans 5:12-21)

Lesson 2: Created Male and Female--This lesson explores the differences and similarities between men and women. You will explore God's original intention for male-female relationships. You'll have the opportunity to help young adults understand that men and women are both created in God's image; neither gender is given favored status. (Genesis 2:18-23; Galatians 3:28; 5:22-24; Acts 2:17-18; John 13:1-17)

Lesson 3: Created for Fellowship--This lesson helps young adults see that the Bible clearly reveals that humans are social creatures. We are created for communion with God and with others of our own kind. We were made to live in the fellowship of families and communities. (Genesis 2:18; 1 Corinthians 8:9-13; 12:12-31; James 5:16; 1 John 1:1-7)

Lesson 4: Individuality Within Community--This lesson explores the question Do I have to give up being myself to belong to the Body of Christ? This will be a tough issue for independent young adults, but with the help of the true Life Dynamic, Jesus Christ, the proper balance can be achieved. (John 13:1-20; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20;9:19-23; Philippians 2:5-11)
